Firstly be aware that some people have visual difficulties (eg blurring or double vision) which may affect their ability to read, as well as lead to accidents. Please carry out a specialist eye test with a developmental optometrist in the first instance. Specifically look for convergence insufficiency. This can be corrected with glasses that have lenses with prism as well as focus eye exercises.
